That is why our curation is by “Element of origin”, here TEXTILES (more precisely Rugs)

A large part of Mexico’s representation worldwide are textiles.
Its natural dyes (colors), various techniques have been implemented for its production, as well as animal or vegetable fibers creating their characteristics. Cardeña focuses on rugs, a symbol of the Otomi and Mazahua cultures known for their knotting technique. Approximately 40 thousand knots are necessary per square meter of fabric to capture an image on a piece.

Spinning on looms allows artisans to materialize all their skills and experience.
This technique is presented in the State of Mexico.
